Jay Johnston (born October 22, 1968) is an American actor, comedian and co-creator of Moral Orel. Johnston attended Columbia College Chicago, where he studied acting and comedy alongside future co-writers Dino Stamatopoulos and Scott Adsit.

During the production of season 3, for unknown reasons, he was unavailable to voice some of his characters, leaving Adsit and David Herman to fill the roles. However, he was able to voice Joe in the episode "Dumb".

Johnston (along with Stamatopoulos and Adsit) was involved in voicing, writing, directing and producing Moral Orel. The series ended in 2009. Johnston, Stamatopoulos and Adsit re-teamed for a new stop-motion series called Mary Shelley's Frankenhole, which began airing on June 27, 2010 and ended on March 25, 2012.
