Florence Papermouth is a minor character originally used in background roles. She was married to Officer Roger Papermouth and they have a daughter, Anne.
Personality[]
Florence is a polite and mature woman. While she generally sticks up for herself, she is like a doormat around her "friend," Dottie Trophywife. Shame from her appearance, not helped by her failed escapades to get Reverend Putty's attention, facilitate her low self-esteem, and she uses binge eating as a coping mechanism.
Florence wants to be in a stable relationship, particularly with her reverend. This can make her quite obsessive when it comes to wanting to be with Reverend Putty, such as imagining him naked while riding a zebra, and trying desperately to have sex with him. Despite being level-headed most of the time, her need for love can step over Rod's boundaries. Such as when she would touched him while barely knowing him and dragged him into her bed without his full consent.
She likes to collect zebra figurines, and hates being called fat.
History[]
Florence regularly attended church with her daughter, largely because her eyes were really on her reverend. She was dissatisfied with her marriage with Officer Papermouth, who was cowardly and immature, and left him during the zombie outbreak.
One day after church, she met Dottie and her daughter. Dottie offered some conversation and promptly dominated it. Despite her being rude, Florence moved in with her two weeks later. However, she couldn't take Dottie's abuse for long and stopped being friends with her months later.
After getting a hard-on when Florence called his name "erotic," Reverend Putty would meet her in the All You Can Eatery by coincidence. The two agreed to go to Florence's apartment and later had sex. As Putty climaxed, he shouted Dottie's name, not Florence's. They stopped seeing each other.
Family and Relationships[]
Anne Papermouth
Anne is her daughter, whom she loves. Even after the divorce, Florence would invite Anne to church and was horrified when she learned how to use a gun.
Officer Papermouth
He is her ex-husband. He tried to find a rebound girlfriend to no avail, and he became so distraught that he destroyed one of Florence's gifts to his daughter.
Reverend Putty
Florence had an unrequited obsession with him for a long time, or at least an idealized version of Rod that was cool and wholeheartedly into her. Meanwhile, Rod isn't into her and imagines that he's having sex with Dottie on that fateful Saturday night.
Dottie
Dottie is her verbally and emotionally abusive roommate. While Florence agreed to share a room with her, she would grow to loathe her. Florence would eventually move out of her apartment.

Trivia[]
- Had the series continued, Florence would slim down and try to find love outside of Reverend Putty. This would be explored in "Narcissism," where Rod tries to get back with her. While she suspected that Rod was only in it for her figure and called him out for his narcissism, she would understand that Rod truly loved her, and the two would start a relationship. The episode would also reveal that she moved out of Dottie's apartment.
- Her last name references how the characters have mouths made of paper. As she explains in "Sundays," her first name means "I flower."
