Agnes Sculptham is a teacher at Alfred G. Diorama Elementary School and a minor character. She teaches Orel, Doughy, and other children.

Personality[]

Ms. Sculptham is a jaded, stoic woman who hates her job as a teacher, opting to half-heartedly perform the bare minimum each day. She's apathetic towards her students and the other adults of Moralton. Both in school and out, she's about as religious and sensible as everyone else in town.

Ms. Sculptham tends to manipulate her students into giving her gifts with the promise of indistinct praise, as seen with Doughy.

History[]

Ms. Sculptham's hair was originally blonde, but she dyed it black to entice and subsequently entrap Mr. Creepler (who notoriously hated blondes). Although she played a pivotal role in getting him arrested, Ms. Sculptham suffers severe psychological distress as a result of the incident. "Alone" revealed that the assault had left her with child, but she performs an at-home abortion prior to the episode's events. Through her visions, it can be gathered that she feels some level of guilt about doing this.

She's conflicted about what Mr. Creepler, her rapist, did to her. While the assault afflicts her with obsessive paranoia and compulsions, such as repeatedly fastening her door's lock and flicking the light switch, she also longed for him sexually. The word "abortion" being one of her triggers also stems from their encounter, as she terminated her pregnancy some time later.

The rest of her life is spent spewing propaganda at Diorama Elementary.

Relationships[]

Cecil Creepler

He is her rapist. She experiences erotic fantasies and obsessive anxieties about the assault.

Orel Puppington

Orel is a straight-A student in her class. While she doesn't hate the kid, Ms. Sculptham either refuses to help him outside of her shift or only does so to shut him up. Despite this, Orel looks to her for advice sometimes.

Doughy Latchkey

Doughy performs poorly in her class. In "Courtship," she used his affection to her advantage until Doughy realized their relationship was one-sided.

Trivia[]

Waste gallery 17 This section contains speculation. Please keep this in mind as you read it.
  • "Raped" would have further explored her character in several ways:
    • It would have been revealed that Ms. Sculptham had more than one child, the other she failed to abort before it was too late.
    • Partially to explore her feelings about Mr. Creepler, she would talk with one of his friends, Ray Pistwell, in his prison cell. They initially fell in love, but he would call it off believing that he was disrespecting his dead friend.
    • The episode would also reveal that Ms. Sculptham was attracted to women. A character named Officer Plotwhist would try to court her throughout the episode, but Ms. Sculptham would pay no mind, believing the officer wouldn't excite her. This would change when Plotwhist revealed herself as a woman. Because two women can't marry in Moralton, they would become unmarried partners.
    • For some reason, she would choose Orel as her ring bearer.
  • Her character bio in the Volume 2 DVD says that she "mistrusts young boys and their hormones," but this wasn't established in the show. Whether it was meant to hint at her scrapped lesbian relationship is unknown.
  • Her last name references how the characters are sculpted from clay. It also evokes "sculpt them," which refers to how she influences the kids of Moralton.
