Danielle Stopframe is Orel's gym teacher and the biological father of Shapey. During the series' run, he was the keystone of a love triangle between him, Clay and Bloberta.
Personality[]
Danielle is a soft-spoken but self-absorbed man. Unlike the other adults of Moralton, who have some pretense of morality, he does what he pleases, doesn't care who he hurts, and flip-flops between following God and Satan (whoever's more convenient). In addition to praying, he tries to get what he wants by taking advantage of people in moments of conflict or weakness.
That's not to say he has no soul or can't relate with others; in "Honor," Danielle and Orel bond over how Clay traumatized them while trying to find something they can respect about the man.
Despite his repulsive actions and lack of remorse for them, Danielle can't stand when the tables get turned; he was devastated after Clay "cheated" on him for Ms. Censordoll.
He's also a fan of gothic erotica, and it's implied that he gains some sort of satisfaction from Clay's pee. He's turned off by overweight people.
History[]
He stalked and manipulated Clay and Bloberta for eight years; his first known move was impregnating Bloberta with Shapey. Danielle would wait patiently for these dominoes to fall over, but they took an unexpected turn when he saw Clay kiss Ms. Censordoll instead of him.
This called into question everything he thought he liked about Clay. Coincidentally, Orel was going through a similar crisis. Danielle offered to teach him about what made Clay worth honoring, but he had no luck for most of the day. Eventually, he found the answer: Orel himself.
After Clay entered his apartment, he confessed his love for Danielle. However, he rejected Clay after realizing how awful and pathetic he really was. Before the Puppingtons leave, he admits that he had fun with Orel.
Family and Relationships[]
Clay Puppington
Danielle was in love with Clay for many years. He stalked and obsessed over him, storing many photos of him and the two of them together inside his house, and used whatever means necessary to get to him. Clay returns his affection in very subtle, subconscious ways, but in the end always rejects Stopframe, not completely aware of his own actions or of Stopframe's real feelings. After seeing Clay make out with Ms. Censordoll and spending time with Orel, Danielle realizes that his obsession with Clay is best left buried.
Bloberta Puppington
Danielle had an affair with her and impregnated her with her second son, Shapey. However, this was only a ploy to erode their marriage, and he showed no interest in her afterward.
Shapey Puppington
Shapey is Stopframe's biological son, but has no emotional bond or connection with whatsoever (despite Shapey being ecstatic to see him).
Joe is Danielle's nephew, who he has little interest in. When Joe shows up in Danielle's office asking why he never spends time with Joe, Danielle brushes Joe off and gives him Nurse Bendy's phone number.
Nurse Bendy
Nurse Bendy is possibly Danielle's probably younger half-sister. How they are related is not elaborted on, though given their different last names, the two possibly share the same mother but different fathers.
How the two feel about each other is never fully explored, however Danielle most likely holds very little interest in Bendy, just as he does with Joe. He gives Joe his mother's phone number (implying the two maintain some contact), but only so Joe will leave him alone and Danielle does little else for them.
Orel Puppington
Stopframe considered Orel one of his best runners and best avenues towards Clay. In "Satan," he was willing to ceremonially sacrifice Orel in order to win over his dad. While he bonded with Orel in "Honor," he realized that Clay was a horrible person and that Orel was his only good contribution to the world.
