Dr. Secondopinionson is a former doctor at St. Martin Luther's Protestant Hospital and a minor character. He is Joe and Ms. Secondopinionson's father.
Personality[]
Dr. Secondopinionson is in the winter of his life, suffering from both Alzheimer's and arthritis. Like the rest of Moralton, he puts faith over reason even in his field, notably preserving Dr. Chosenberg's nearly-fatal infection on the premise that it's a magic cure-all and sign from God.
He's able to lie to and manipulate people, as seen with his son and Nurse Bendy.
His ability to move varies as the plot demands. While he's usually glued to his rocker because of his feeble joints, he's shown to be fully capable of movement as seen in "Holy Visage."
History[]
Long before the start of the show, he raped Nurse Bendy (who was underage at the time) and produced Joe, who has never known his mother. He lied to Joe and told him she died in childbirth for years, to the point where he forgot what the truth was anymore.
Dr. Secondopinionson would retire at some point, only making rare appearances at the hospital. Ms. Secondopinionson would take care of her father while he stayed at home, presumably for the rest of his life.
When Joe found out the truth about Nurse Bendy, he beat up his father.
Relationships[]
Joe Secondopinionson
Joe doesn't respect his father even before he knew about the fate of his mom. He is afraid of growing old and feeble like his dad. When he found out the truth about Nurse Bendy, he was so furious that he went ballistic on his dad, who kept insisting that Joe's mother was dead.
Ms. Secondopinionson
Dr. Secondopinionson's daughter tests his memory from time to time and cleans up after him. She knew that her father was lying about Nurse Bendy, but thought Joe wouldn't believe her if she revealed the truth. When Dr. Secondopinionson's getting pummeled by Joe, she doesn't break up the fight, likely feeling it was justified.
Nurse Bendy
Because of what Dr. Secondopinionson did to her, Nurse Bendy believed she was dumb and unable to raise a child, and hates him for it. Dr. Secondopinionson tried to sweep their encounter under the rug and forgot about the details, but still remembers something about it and Nurse Bendy in some capacity.

- "Narcissism" would have revealed that, because Nurse Bendy was 12 when she gave birth to Joe, Dr. Secondopinionson would have committed child sexual assault if the episode was finished.
- The synopsis of "Dumb" on adultswim.com alluded to him being in his eighties. As this may not have been written by the show's staff, its canonical status is dubious.
- In "Elemental Orel," he refers to himself as Joe's grandpa. This was retconned in "Dumb."
- Dr. Secondopinionson's name is a play on "doctor's second opinion." Naturally, it was revealed when he was consulted for a second opinion in "Holy Visage."
